I'm Stupid and need HELP

I am trying to put together a Dual Processor graphics workstation to run Photoshop, Director, In Design, ETC...Athlon MP's are out...Looking at the Iwill DVD266-R because of the DDR ram...Like I said I'm stupid and need help putting together a decent dually system until the smoke clears...SiS, nForce, chipsets, DDR, RAMBUS, Pentium 4, Xeon, geez what a pain...can't wait for September

The Xenon is very very expensive. If you want to keep it affordable, go with the Athlon. Don't worry about waiting for the nforce, if you're using this box for video editing, you'll probably have a high end video card that will be better for what you'll be doing. The Pentium 4 takes RAMBUS ram, which runs at a higher clock speed, but is more expensive. And Intel is phasing out their use of RDRAM (rambus) as well as redesigning the socket, so if you want to upgrade in the future w/o changing the board, you might be out of luck. The p4 1.7 is supposed to be very nice, but I don't know much about it.
