You have to send it back to Apple to change the battery?! I didn't know that, that is crazy. How long does the battery last?

- they were larger than 4 GB
- could replace the battery without sending in to Apple and paying $67
- could load my own MP3s without iTunes
You don't REALLY need iTunes to load your MP3's to an iPod. You can mount it as an external hard drive and copy over files that way.
Linux users also have a program called GTKPod as a substitute for iTunes.
Definately not.Originally posted by: ElFenix
i wonder if apple's 'student union' rebate is good for this?

Yeah, the iPod Nano seems overpriced to me. Sure, it's small, but $250 for a 4 GB MP3 player? My 30 GB iPod Photo was only $100 more than that 6 months ago!
Oh, and I still gotta bitch about the lack of a radio. Hell, even my $30 Sony Walkman came with a radio!

I want to dump my 20 gig so bad just to get one of these. I realized I really don't need all of my music with me all the time, and also have been consolidating my library a lot lately. This is a kind of dumb question but I assume you get black crappy ipod headphones with the black model correct?

Im sorry, but besides the flash vs. HD thing, I dont see the purpose in a smaller Ipod. Is the normal Ipod to big to fit in a pocket?
