I'm starting work on the web server today...

... and I need some info as I work! 🙂

First off, I'm gonna start converting all the FAQ's I can find into locations on the web server. Not only that, but I'm going to be giving them all a quick once over with my little red corrections pen, so hopefully all spelling errors, and technical snafus will be removed. Most of the FAQs are pretty good right now, but I want to make this web page as "professional" as possible.

To that end, I need someone to repost the FAQ's for all the projects TA is involved in. I've got Paulson's web page, and I'll be getting those FAQs from him, but there are some on that I'm sure aren't on his page.

Second, I'll be adding some areas to the web page, so the next week should start getting interesting for me. Virge and I will keep everyone up-to-date on the progress, especially once I get moving on a lot of things. Once I start, I'll have a better idea of just how much needs done!

Wish me luck!

Check the archives. With the exception of the IRC FAQ, all are up-to-date.

Does anybody know if there is a personal proxy how-to? Or a remote-buffers how-to? These should definitely be in the advanced FAQ section, but I couldn't find anything in a quick search of the archives. If necessary, I'll whine and beg for someone to write something up (or even as a last resort, write something myself!)

Thanks,
JHutch

I found a remote buffers how-to... It was stuck in with the shared directory installation instructions. But I still need a personal proxy FAQ. And maybe a quick blurb on RemoteCows...

Oh, and tomorrow I start looking at the SETI stuff, so I may be asking you guys for things next! 🙂

The company Mika works for(Strata Web Services) has graciously agreed to host The Core and The Webbox for us. It's up in Canada, and has a 10Mb/sec connection to the rest of the world.😉
