Im sorry but Optimum Online is the absolute king of all ISPs.

I use movielink once in a while and it downloads at 1.8 megs per second.

Thats faster than a 10Mbit LAN connection!!! Its crazy fast.

I tend to agree. When I lived in NY their 3mbit service was running at 6mbit speeds. Now I'm stuck with godawful Comcast.

Considering the port on the cable modem is 10Mbit, and the connection would default to the weakest link in the chain, 1.25MBytes/s (1,280KBytes/s) would technically be the fastest connection possible.

Do agree, however. OO is quite a good provider.

Wrong.

The port on my cable modem is 100Mbit (Surfboard 4100)

they throttle your upload if you use too much. no thanks, i'll stuck to sbc and my uploading of 5gb+ a day.

Wait... you're claiming you get 1.8megabytes/sec... as in 1800kilobytes/sec... as in 14.4megabits/sec? How much are you paying for your ISP service? I've never heard of anything above 6mbps. I'm jealous... I've only recently get 1.5mbps

Meh...4 Mbps with Comcast is 512 KB/sec. When would I EVER need more than that. Even a 1 GB file at that speed would only take a half hour. And when would I ever be downloading files that big from HTTP anyway?

Yes I get 1.8megaBYTES or 1800kilobytes as in 14.4megabits/sec.

I download a 700mb movie from movielink in less than 8 min.

I pay $50 a month. If you have cable TV it its $40 something per month.
