Many years ago I went to see Jurassic Park at a second run theater. Now I saw the movie after I read the book, so I knew that the movie wasn't for kids. The show I went to featured a woman with 5 kids who could not sit still or shut up. When I asked her to quiet the kids down, she said she couldn't. I haven' t been to see a movie whether by renting or by going to the theater in ages as I am fed up with unruly kids, unmindful parents and I D ten ts who can't turn their cellphones/pagers off. I wait til the movies are on broadcast TV and I can watch them in the quiet of my own home.

I think everyone should be handed bamboo canes, have the audience enforce good manners instead of ushers. Let the beatings begin.

Had this one 300lb guy get up 4 times to use the bathroom at LOTR:TTT. On the 5th time my buddy said "Get up one more time and I'll beat your ass." He never got up again.

That's when you bust out the cell phone (while sitting in the movie), call the theater, ask for the manager, then complain about the inconsiderate bastards in the movie you were trying to watch.

(don't forget to tell him which one you are in so he can come talk to you if he wants)
