This weekend is going to suck big time for me. Just became aware of the fact my favorite radiostation is closing down tomorrow 🙁🙁🙁. They're always joking around on the air such as their personnel calling Pfizer and asking stupid questions. All the conversation is on the air. Something I heard: "Hi, is this Pfizer customer service?, well I just put Listerine up my vagina. I don't tink it's really meant to used like this, is it? Oh it hurts, what do I do.. and so on" Saying that, I thought they had to be kidding when they said they're closing down the radiostation. I grew up with this station, listened to it everyday and I can't imagine not having it. They've been around since 1983...

Man this sucks :|:|

 
That sucks man... I know how you feel. My favorite radio station in college was bought out and changed format. It really sucked.

I'd get over it. Unlike some, while I may post here a lot, my life DOES NOT revolve around this forum. I enjoy posting here, but if it were to close down tomorrow, I'd get on with my life.
 
Jerboy I hope you have other stations to listen to.

Here in Blacksburg our ONLY radio station got bought out a year ago. The Buzz was almost a good alternative radio station (even though they were 6 months behind what was "current") but they got bought out and became talk radio I believe. Now I have nothing to listen to except the cd's I buy and burn.

Fairly my attitude too. 🙂

A radio station I often listened to shut down a long time ago. I was not prepared for it, but I moved on and in fact found some more interesting shows on radio. I simply listen to radio solely for entertainment with a slight seriousness--with exception to news stations. There's always a place for entertainment. 🙂

Ummm, buck up and deal with it. Find another forum to waste my time at or do something else. Oddly enough I managed to suffer through about 35 years without this forum, I think I make it without it.
 
That sucks, man. Why don't you go down there the day before it closes, tell them your story and take a general tour of the place? Take along a camera for some shotties.

Think of it this way guys, what we do here will be long remembered. We are saving the rest of the world from jerboy's endless whining. He can come here and complain about stuff that other people would laugh at him for and although we do laugh, it doesn't carry that same behavior-altering weight as a good public humiliation would.

...At least I certainly hope his presence here is cathartic for him and he doesn't complain just as much off-line.....could you freaking imagine living with someone like that.....{{{shudder}}}
