Less programming classes, more English classes.

EDIT: 6k words isn't much. It's what? 3 hours worth of work? :p

sounds about right.

spring semester junior year of college just about killed me, when I was taking 6 English classes (all either 300 or 400 level).

but I was still able to make time for myself... otherwise, I'd have gone insane. getting an A in a class doesn't matter very much if you're two steps away from the crazy house ;)

Everyone I know is no more than 2 steps away from the nut house already. :p

you should encourage them to take more time for themselves :p it's a wonderful relaxant.

That's the truth. I was a math major too. Everyone else was stressing out and I coasted the whole way through. I guess you have to be able to do the math, but if you can.......god I drank and smoked a lot.

Dude, learn to manage your time better. I'm taking 17 credits and working 24 hours each week. It sucks when tests come around, like now (got off work yesterday studied from 5 untill 2, got up this morning studied all day, will prolly finish at around 2, get up tomorrow for work at 8, get off and study from 4-7:30 for my 8:20 test. Go to sleep get up at 6 am for my 7:15 lab, then work 8 hours, then its off to Jax for the FL Ga game!!) but you can easily get everything done if you give up tv or internet during busy periods.

Okay, try going to school at night (2 classes), working full-time, raising a 15 year old daughter and 9 year old son, working on a fixer in what little spare time you have and trying to find any fvcking time to sleep.

Dude, quit whining, suck it up and get busy. The only way I manage this is through good time-management, as another poster mentioned. If it's too much then cut back. You think school is tough, wait until you get out!!!

I am a second year pharmacy student and this year has been.....AWFUL. Just make sure you take time out for yourself. Grades really don't matter if you are in professional school, experience does. It is all about networking. Build up a good support for yourself man. Good Luck with school.

You MUST be in high school. 800 words is nothing. I haven't seen a 90 since high school - I was taking Bio/Phy/Chem/Calc/Algeo/Finite/English.

Now I'm lucky if I even see an 80. :( Stupid Engineering.

you go to UT? UTD? UTA? U of H?

btw, 6000 words isn't bad if that's a cumulative sum for the whole year to date. If it's a one time paper, even then it's not that bad. 3-4 hours would cover it.

All I can say is that I feel your pain! I am in my senior year - about to finish my Computer Science degree. I'm lucky if I get to bed before 2AM... This semester I've been busting my booty to get D's on my tests. All my programs are due on the same days... It sucks! I've got two kids (ages 2 and 1) on top of it. Seems like every time I sit down to do homework, one of them messes their diaper. Yes - welcome to life.

Currently I'm in a statics course thats harder than what the mechanical engineers have to take and I'm Electrical....
Its the same as two courses in one.
Also my circuits course has some b!tch @ss assignemnts that can easily take 3 hours per problem and have 8 of them due thursday.
