I'm so pissed! I lost all my IM logs!!!

Love Trillian. But I never even thought of backing up my log files. I think I will have to get into the habit of doing that.

I use AIM+ because GAIM keeps crashing on this machine.

I use deadaim and backup my logs every once in a while. I'm a little paranoid I think. I backup my e-mails too. and all my documents of course.

I bought a program called Undelete (www.executivesoftware.com) a while back when I got some nasty virus which deleted everything. I was able to recover almost all mp3s and other big files but the files I wanted (digital pictures) I was only able to recover few. It seems that fiiles that are over 2 megs are overwriten last. Good thing I actually had a backup from a few months earlier.

your files are gone, since you decided to continue using your HDD. you already overwrote areas of the HDD where the files were stored.

yea no sh!t? By the time I realised they were gone the logs were already overwritten.
