I'm snowed in for the day

I sold my SUV to make room for a car I bought from a friend and now none of my cars could possibly get through that mountain of snow at the end of my driveway. Luckily I guess it's just for today.

So I have a free day. I need to do something crazy, out of character.

I was thinking I might just get ripped and binge the Logan's Run TV series. I bought it from Amazon a few years ago but I haven't opened it yet. I do have an unopened bottle of fine scotch.

what do you mean by 'shovel'? sounds complicated and you probably need specialized tools for it, best just leave it for the professionals

True but I wasn't expecting this mini blizzard, and my friend was getting ready to trade in his car so I had to act. I have a 650i I rarely drive anymore which I'm going to sell or trade for another SUV before next winter. Probably I'll try Audi.

I'm currently working some light overtime (45-50ish hours a week) at work while going to school full time. I wish I could just take a day off. When I graduate next month, and my major work project should be wrapped up by then, I'm taking a solid 2 weeks off. I figure I'll be sick of doing jack squat by the end of it, and I've got 4 more weeks of vacation built up to take real vacations later. Sometimes it's nice to just do nothing in particular.

I'm glad I have a snow blower now.

We've been getting messed up weather latetly, and it's causing the snow pack on the driveway to turn into this nasty jagged ice. Had to hire a backhoe to scrape down to the concrete, or it will turn into mush in spring and then I'll get stuck. It's happened before so I was more proactive. I tried to scrape it down myself but FTS. Was not getting very far.
