...and the hardest part was getting enough Zigzag rolling paper to wrap it in :D

Now that the obvious joke is out of the way, is anyone else smoking any meat for tonight/tomorrow? It's a bit of a tradition for me...love the stuff :)

"A blunt is just like a Thanksgiving turkey; you split it, gut it, stuff it, then enjoy. The only difference is that afterwards you're really hungry."

Only reason I clicked on the thread was so I could post something like that! Way to steal my thunder.

I'm leaving the cooking to the family members this year. In fact, I leave the cooking to the family every year. :) I'd love to smoke something though - mesquite anything is da bomb.

There was a goddamn flock of wild turkeys running through the neighborhood. 10-15 regular black bodied ones ( I guess these were 'bitches' ) and a single short one with a fan of feathers ( the pimp maybe ). I wonder if those are good eatin'...

It depends on what they were eating. If they're into worms, grubs, or if they eat rye grass, they're going to be nasty. If they eat corn or other decent grains, they'll be pretty good.

If they're not heathy, they might be wormy too though :) I'll stick to store bought.

I've never enjoyed smoked meat, maybe it was badly done or something? I've eaten smoked salmon and ham.

My dad got ahold of two side-by-side 7-foot tall steel military lockers and turned them into a huge smoker. He can do two types of wood -- one on each side of the smoker. He uses to smoke everything from sausages to fish and poultry.

He also has a large one of these that he'll do his roasts and whole birds in.

Finally, he has one of these, which is like an industrial-strength pressure cooker/smoker. It'll cook a turkey, with smoke infusion under pressure so that its literally falling off the bone in about an hour. :)

I've never heard of having turkey for Christmas, but apparently I need to get out from under the rock I've been hiding under. We always have ham.

Roast pork among other goodies for us, parents are inviting some int'l students over who otherwise wouldn't get a nice Christmas meal :)

Smoking a turkey? Screw that. That's too much work.

I bought some ham and 20 lb box of red king crab legs. So far I've made and ate crab, radicchio, and garlic pasta. Pizza with crab, garlic, bacon, and fresh basil. Lot of steamed crab legs too.

Hmm judging by what grows around here ( nothing, so they're probably chowing down on grubs and crap ) - I think i'll stick to store bought too.

Shame too, I've been seeing a lot of them just running around.

...with or without the filters would be the typical comment here, but all I can say is congrats and enjoy.
