As a fellow PhD student who is taking his preliminary exam next week, I feel your pain. Unfortunately, I'm not an IT manager, or I'd be the FIRST person to help you out.

Just a suggestion.... have you tried local companies? Or departments on campus? I know my department at VT has an IT manager that handles our computer systems... you might could find some on campus to help you out.

Weird, my company just did a similar survey for IT managers and treasury managers--asking them specifically about financial technology implementations. I'd actually be very interested to see the questionnaire instrument and the data you found (would I have to sign an NDA or something for that--or is this confidential until you present your thesis?)

I'm all too hapy to share! The survey itself is an adaptation of several others that are already in the public domain. As far as the results go, once they are approved by my committee I'll be happy to share them too.
