Isn't fortnight generally used in the future tense?
Maybe it's all the extensions bogging it down.

You can try a preview of 1.1 which is said to be faster. I tried it and it may be, but it doesn't support my extensions.

Big deal. OOOOoooOOOooOOoOOOOoOOoOOh I just saved 0.000000000000001 seconds by switching browsers, but lost 27509187091841 kickass extensions and other functional features by switching back to IE! Yay me!
😛
Leave the switching to Geico and stick with FF.
