...to download and install new drivers and the multimedia center for my ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon. I installed Win2kPro on a newly formatted hard drive. I figured that I'd start fresh with the most up to date drivers. I install the newest ATI drivers & Multimedia Center for Windows 2000 and its a success! That is until I find out that the TV tuner won't work. The infamous "You fool, I don't care if these are straight off of the website, you still have the incorrect drivers, ha, ha, ha!" error message. I tried un-installing, re-installing, but all I got for my troubles was my computer stalling. I decided to start over.

I just formatted and installed Win2k again, this time with the drivers off of the ATI CD that came with the card. TV tuner works, not sure about the other stuff. I want the new MMC though. Or atleast I feel like I should be able to install it. The last time I had this all set up I had the newest MMC but I can't remember if I used the latest driver or not. TV tuner worked and it let you just type the channel number and it would switch, instead of having to scroll through all of the channels.

I've looked here and at rage3d, but I can't find a clear cut "walkthrough" on how to install these drivers. Some say install CD drivers, un-install, then install new...Some say install new, then overwrite with the old... Some say start with old, overwrite with new, blah, blah, blah... My head is hurting. It should not be this tricky to load the drivers for this card. I like the card, but I wan't to be able to use all of its features without hassle.

Enlighten me folks, on how it should be done...

check out Nicolts's post (do a search), he is DA MAN at solving the AIW Radeon Problems. I've used his steps and am using the AIW Radeon with Win2000 now. Everything almost works, so i'm happy.

Here's the link that might help you: From Rage3d

I've read his other post. The guy who posted this stuff knows about ATI's specific issues thats keeping us from using full features of the AIW. Something gotta do with each part of the software not syncing well. I've only got the 32meg regular Radeon, but he knows his stuff.
