I just upgraded my case / PSU, other than that everything is exactly the same. Now my video card is fritzy, i only see everyother pixel. if i wiggle the card(while the computer is on) the image changes, i took it out and dusted it, and sometimes it's fine, like when i FIRST turn it on, no ore than 5 minutes in it'll be fuzy like this, my first thought was heat, but the fan is working properly, and i've got an 80mm a 120mm and a 92mm in there and it says the case is around 34 degrees, MUCH cooler than it was before, my case was caked with dust, it was too small and there was no air no airflow at all. the powersupply is much bigger on this one and can handle all my periphials. the old one was underspeced, yet everything ran okay. once afgain, same hardware, just a newcase, andit works at first. my apologize if there are any errors in this message, as i can't see what i'm doing very well. thanks for any help you can offer me and i'll check in on my brothers computer later. -lith

Also...

1) provide some specs? My crystal ball is STILL at the polishing shop! The new PSU, what exact brand and model is it? Got your auxiliary power cable hooked up to your video card (if so equipped)?

2) take the motherboard out of the case and try it outside the case on cardboard.

3) did you mount the mobo on standoffs and make sure there wasn't an extra standoff at the rear (roughly two slots down from the top card slot, some mobos have a hole there, some don't... illustration pic)

4) examine your monitor's cable to ensure it doesn't have any bent pins.

Hope that helps :)

nope, no bent pins. yes i have a screw in the rear at the second slot, there is a hole there and i installed the standoffs myself, in the pattern of the holes on my mobo, should i remove that one? the PSU is a Rosewill 450w from Newegg, and there is no aux power cable to my knowledge, never had one before.... i'm going to reseat everything and see what happens, i'll check in in the morning and see what's going on. thanks you for your suggestions everyone.

Oay, i reseated everything, and everything is clean now, except the icons on the destkop and other ones that are controled by windows itself in my taskbar, other applications like winamp's is clear....but "my computeR" and "internet explorer" are fuzzy.....not sure what to do about that other than upgrade to windows XP....wish me luck
