I'm in a computer lab and this kid just sat next to me about 5 mins ago. He's been furiously visiting World of Warcraft websites and strategy guides. I can tell that he's been another victim of Blizzard's fine products. This game is gonna throw his college years away. I can already tell.

This is what I want to do: Turn only my face straight to his and say, "That game will feast on your soul and you'll never go back..." with a dead-on straight face then leave..

What do you think? 😀

I cant stand hearing college kids complaing about no money, but yet they can afford to buy a video game and pay a monthly fee to play them...

I walked into Wal-Mart today for some groceries and almost spent the money on a copy of HL2 instead. Almost. 🙂 I've basically denied myself buying any new games until the semester is over, as I'd like my GPA to remain higher than my Japanese 4-banger's displacement.

That's cool that you resisted and care so much about your education. Too many people do not, and you and I will end up paying for them later on...
 
Do it. Maybe he'll realize you're right and foresake his WoW career.
But most likely not, and then your words will haunt him in his dreams for the duration of his addiction while his GPA drops, meager social life dwindles and his skin turns a pale and pasty white (assuming he's white, of course). 😀
 
you should have done it right away then it woulda been spontainious, you can still do it, and it would prolly be funny

Being a college student, I can tell you that our priorities are a little diffrent.

food > liquor > games > electronics > toilet paper > college bills

Um, yeah, I just want to make it clear that I'm a nerd and I play a fair amount of video games, and if someone did that to me, I'd be amazed at what a nerd they were. Sorry. Just being honest.
 
I got a better idea, just punch him in the face and tell him "if you keep wasting your time on that god-forsaken game I'll beat your a$$ down. Got it!"

That would make me a hypocrite. Although I gave up on all vidgames now, I pissed away many years with StarCraft &amp; Warcraft 3
