Effective February 8, 2007, I resign from my position as xxxxxx.
I?ve enjoyed my time working for xxxxx. Although I have had only a short tenure here I would like to thank you for the opportunity provided with (insert company name)
Due to exigent personal circumstances requiring an immediate move out of state, please accept my apologies for not being able to tender a two-week notice of resignation.
Thank you again,
That's what I'd submit. Gets the point across without seeming too superfluous on the compliments. It's fine to use exigent in this situation; just all of the adjectives (superb, wonderful, fine, valuable, etc..) tended to give the notice a poor overall tone.
Also, employers usually don't care about you or the experience or how it will help you get a better job in the future
