Then you know what I'm about to say.
That "and lazy" should be added to the topic title?

Since your poor, Azureus is your friend. /thread

Edit: Provided you can overcome the huge, huge moral dilemma of downloading torrents.

There's nothing wrong with downloading torrents, unless you are downloading something that is illegal for you to download. There are many legal and moral uses for torrents :)

I just started playing the MMORPG Thang Global ( http://thang.ongameport.com/ ) which is free... and I'm loving it so far.

I also recommend Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

Enjoy, and look more closely at the free games thread :p

Emulator + lots of roms. Questionable legality I'll warn you, so I'd stick with the old stuff. SNES is loads of fun.

Armchair, there's nothing questionable about the legality of roms. If you own the cartridge, its fine to download. If not, its not.

Negative.
Still illegal.

"Can I Download a Nintendo ROM from the Internet if I Already Own the Authentic Game?

There is a good deal of misinformation on the Internet regarding the backup/archival copy exception. It is not a "second copy" rule and is often mistakenly cited for the proposition that if you have one lawful copy of a copyrighted work, you are entitled to have a second copy of the copyrighted work even if that second copy is an infringing copy. The backup/archival copy exception is a very narrow limitation relating to a copy being made by the rightful owner of an authentic game to ensure he or she has one in the event of damage or destruction of the authentic. Therefore, whether you have an authentic game or not, or whether you have possession of a Nintendo ROM for a limited amount of time, i.e. 24 hours, it is illegal to download and play a Nintendo ROM from the Internet. I don't see how lazy has anything to do with it. It takes the same effort to look at another thread as it does to look at your own. In fact I'd say it takes more effort to make a new thread than to just look at the other one, which I might add has a massive list of free games...
