I use Shrink to rip and compress and then decrypter to burn, highest quality settings it took 4 hours to rip, transcode and burn a DVD. The time dropped to an hour for all of it. Once you remember that at least 10mins is burning the DVD it's a massive improvement.

DL402, either is a good system which is the problem.

Not really, all the CPU tests i've seen seem to involve setting the graphics to unrealistic settings. Also for non optimised games a single faster core will be better, not to mention avoiding the issues with dual core support.

And there's a thread on video about the performance gains going from 6800 to 7800, it was significant to him/her.

Link!

Since i haven't seen the spec for the new chipset and anyone who has is under NDA i don't see how the hell you can claim that it'll support it, i think you're talking ******.

Prove me wrong, give me a reputable link.

In my opinion, the only reason to get a single core now is to get a cheap one
like the 3000+ or the 3200+, 3700+ is a waste of money.

Ah i see, in which case i appologise for any offense given.

Still think it's a bad idea, you'll end up paying more for the pleasure and getting a board that does everything poorly and nothing at all well.

No, a poor choice for this system in particular, and i'll need a lot more convincing to like it in any circumstances.
