I'm paranoid

Hi guys,

Here are the specs:

p4 3.0 E
p4p800 deluxe
corsair xms 3200 (1gig)
BFG 6800gt

I'm thinking about overclocking the video card to ultra speeds, and also overclocking using my mobo ( using the AI 5% 10% 15% ) auto settings. If possible I wanna try 15%, so how much cooling do I actually need?

I have a thermalright xp-120 but haven't got the case yet. Do I really need a case with 5 80mm fans? (1 intake, 1 side, 1 top, 2 exhaust)

Or would something with 2 120mm fans be sufficient?

for example: http://www.svc.com/pc-7plus-47.html

Thanks guys

Andy

The second case would definately be better. Trusted name, quieter, and modded.

However BFG cards usually run pretty hot, so if you wanna OC it I recommend investing in an NV Silencer 5. Much quieter, and like 10 degrees cooler.

Also a 15% OC isn't much on a P4, try manually doing it and you can hit around 3.6ghz with that hsf, which is close to 30%.

Say goodbye to 80mm fans forever and whenever possible....Sounds like CompUSA is selling the Super Lanboy for $39.99AR starting Sunday. A real no-brainer at that price....

m 🙂

Is that the best price for that Lian-li case?

Honestly i don't care about the looks as much as the cooling (window or not). Where do you guys buy your cases from? I think newegg is too expensive when shipping/tax is included.

Also, does anyone know any case that has 2 120mm fans and 1 80mm fan on the side? I think that one extra fan would be nice 🙂

Thanks guys

Andy
