I thought tonight's episode was a bit...off...in some way but it could just be me being tired of Pam snacking on cocaine.

Yeah, I think it's going to take a few episodes to catch their stride with the new format. Archer kissing that dude was hilarious though 😀

I did actually like the previous week's episode because of the Archer/Lana dynamic and the two, gay Miami guys ended up being hilarious (mainly because of Tom Lennon). This episode seemed like a story sidetrack because of Pam's stupidity.

I did like Archer in the car with George Takei's character. <fires gun>"I can literally do this all day. It's sounds like popcorn to me" or something like that. The part earlier as he's realizing that he's been shot 26 times and probably has a bit of lead poisoning was also funny.

Huh, this is the most recent Archer thread that I could find...and I just happen to binge last season, and saw tonight was the Premier.

Caught it last night. Kind of a weak start but it had some moments. The Archer/Lana interaction was more grating than funny for some reason.

Yeah, not a great start. When they switched to dealing coke, it sort of made sense for a spy agency. It was vaguely reminiscent of the CIA-coke connection. But going into the detective agency theme needed to be stronger.

They completely blew a great joke when Cheryl was being choked. I guess that was a wink to people familiar with the show but still. There were still some good one-liners though. I think they'll improve as the season progresses. At least I hope so.
 
I think the best part is when somebody sees the guy who voices Archer for the first time. Just a chubby bald unattractive dude.

Yeah, all the other characters actually look like their voice actors except him. It ruined the show for my wife 😀
 
Show's great, but I watched a lot of Bob's Burger before I saw this and I just can't hear his voice without seeing Bob in my head so it kinda throws the show off for me.

That was season one or two wasn't it? I remember that but I don't think I'd watched Archer yet so I didn't really appreciate it.

Edit: never mind. Season 4. Except I stopped watching long before that. Musta been channel surfing.
