The thing about a good pair of socks - even if the weather is horrible supercold windy and wet - if your feet are mostly warm and dry, it's not that bad.

On the other hand, if your feet are wet and cold, everything sucks.

heheh, so true

I got 2 pairs of socks for christmas last year, they are like pillows wrapped around my feet. Was one of my fav gifts I got haha.

i wear black socks with everything. dress shoes, gym shoes, whatever

yeah, ive gotten that way. i have a couple pair of white ankle socks i might throw on for around the house if my feet are cold, otherwise i have black socks for work/whatever, and wool socks for winter.

i need some black wool, or wool/blend socks. i got one pair off amazon for the hell of it, and love them, but i dont want to spend that much on 5 or 6 pairs of socks :-/

What brand of dress socks do you recommend? My feet sweat a little more in full leather shoes.

Give those Covingtons a try. They sell them at Sears and KMart (believe it or not). If that doesn't work, Nike makes black "wick" socks that may do the trick.
