Yikes, sorry to hear about all that! I have no doubt I'll be heading to an allergy specialist soon. No other explanation. Oh well, this has to get resolved. Sometimes I get headaches from so much coughing. Sometimes wake my wife at night.

Had a flu last week and my lungs got infected. Gawd, that was a mess! Like I said, this has to, and will get resolved. And, good luck to you when the big five-o rolls along!

I'm not concerned about caffeine, it's the heartburn that tears me up! Tea would be fine, but it's such a hassle to make, that I won't bother. Maybe I'll get that next time I'm at a restaurant.

Try cold brewing your coffee. It dramatically reduces the acid content of it and I personally love having a very strong cup of coffee that isn't bitter. That should help a lot with your heart burn. You can get a Toddy cold brew kit to make your coffee or you can do it yourself, tho that can get time consuming and messy in comparison to flipping a switch on the drip. The only time I drink traditionally brewed coffee now is when I go out.

As a hardcore caffeine addict, I can say you'll be back...muahaha.

A cup of strong black coffee is one of lifes "simple pleasures" . There's probably a lot of other things your consuming that are infinitely more harmful then coffee...

I always thought if you're addicted to caffeine then you're addicted to all forms of caffeine but I was wrong.

A friend of mine can down 5-6 cans of soda in an 8 hour work day :Q but hates coffee.

Soda, coffee, chocolate it's all good 😛

5-6 cans in 8 hours? Honestly that is nothing. When I used to drink soda I could drink a 6 pack of dew in a couple hours.
