But I why do people buy surround sound speakers only to put all 4 speakers in the front...almost drives me nuts...almost.

I think some people don't realize that surround sound means you put the rear speakers to the REAR of you. This pisses me off too. If you aren't going to use the surround sound capability, why buy surround sound? Spend the extra money on a better 2.1 system. I think for the price of that Logitech system, you could buy a 2.1 setup with two way satellites instead of the tinny little 2" cones.

ive gotten yelled at because of that also, the reason i have 4.1s is because i got a deal on them. i paied the same price for them that the klipsch 2.1s were selling for at the time, the reason i dont put them behind me is because there is absoutly no place for me to put them my room is too big, so i run the 4 of them in stereo, works for me
