we have a constant A/C fight here. the managers have offices with vents where we in cubeland have only one. so when the a/c is at 72 or so the managers are freezing, they like to keep it set to 79-80.

i have a nice long piece of stiff wire i use to bump the a/c lever back down to 72.

Install Team Anandtech Folding@Home client on all the PC's in your office to generate extra heat.

I had a similar problem. No clue why the AC on top of my cubicle blows even during winter. There was no way to actually close the vent, so I ended up taping a piece of paper over that vent.
Works very well. Just make sure to use strong tape. I used some crappy tape and it got blown off after 1 day.
