I come into my office area today, and someone has turned the air down to 56 degrees. It's very very cold. But I have no jacket and I'm not important enough to have a key to set it to a nice 67 degrees.
I suspect it was one of our "big-boned" managers. In the dead of winter some of them are covered with sweat.
I guess I could start a fire for warmth.
56 is ridiculous. i'd like it set at 70 myself.

we have a constant A/C fight here. the managers have offices with vents where we in cubeland have only one. so when the a/c is at 72 or so the managers are freezing, they like to keep it set to 79-80.

i have a nice long piece of stiff wire i use to bump the a/c lever back down to 72.

Install Team Anandtech Folding@Home client on all the PC's in your office to generate extra heat.

I had a similar problem. No clue why the AC on top of my cubicle blows even during winter. There was no way to actually close the vent, so I ended up taping a piece of paper over that vent.
Works very well. Just make sure to use strong tape. I used some crappy tape and it got blown off after 1 day.
