Dead system as Solstice is setting all disks to readonly :| Oh well, got holiday on Monday. I need it.

You might as well do a chown -R username /

They might have a backup copy of system. Check with the client. They'd be stupid not to backup their systems.

New base OS build. They'll jumpstart a new one, but they don't have the patches in the JS, so it'll be a 3 hour wait for it on Tuesday.

I R teh lamer. :(

Were you logged on as root or with root privileges?
Hope it goes well. I know since I've worked with large companies for 5 years on their UNIX boxes that they don't take too well to having their boxes down at all.
With the new SOX standards, usually it takes a committee to friggin even approve a reboot.

Root, I was prepping it to do an install. This is not a production machine.

And yeah, they use Disksuite. Is that LOL?
