I'm not allowed to get my cat back

About a year ago the maintenance man removed my window blinds because my cat (who's name is megabyte) tore up the blinds because he likes to look out the window so he removed them to make it more aesthetically pleasing.

Recently the housing manager said it's a violation to not have any blinds and that I'm not allowed to install my own blinds. I asked if they could install "vertical" blinds so megabyte could climb on the window without having to tear anything up and the housing manager said the only window blinds they have are horizontal.

I gave my cat back to the pound 2 weeks ago because I was trying to admit myself to a hospital, the pound said I could re-adopt him if no one adopts home by the time I came back, but I guess I can't go back, so I hope he finds a new home.

I'm going to miss having him run towards me when I come home, and waking up in the morning with him laying in the bed next to me.

Below are some videos of megabyte:

There's solutions. There's always solutions, but I'm not gonna bother. Amusingly, my cats; especially the girl seem to have a better grasp of English, and are good at following directions.

House plant is probably more your speed anyway. Maybe a cactus.

Honestly I think getting the cat was poor planning on your part as you don't seem to be in a life situation that allows to have a pet. The fact that you gave your cat to the pound so quickly for an appointment that didn't end up happening instead of making alternate arrangements shows this.

Why can't you go back and re-adopt him?

For someone that wants to get into construction you're not too creative or resourceful. I have random sheets of drywall blocking off areas I don't want my cats playing in. TBH it was a very temp solution using scrap cuts I already had on hand but temp solutions that work tend to become permanent...

Buy some 1/4 plywood and build boxes/walls around places you don't want them to go. Or plexi since it's a window. I guess it's too late now.
