Every winter I seem to get this chronic cough and almost always get pretty sick at least twice. I have a feeling I have chornic bronchitis... I've only been smoking for a couple years and I'm not a heavy smoker, but its not like its a beneficial habit, especially if its contributing to my illness. I actually have a fairly good reason to quit now, and its been maybe a week since my last cigarette, just cause I haven't had any on me.

I dunno about pot though... its an infrequent habit and I actually get something out of that. I will see a dr tomorrow, I know what he's gonna tell me and it doesn't make me happy. BLAH.

Good weed will plug up your lungs quicker than cigarettes. That doesn't mean I recommend smoking either.

I know, but I don't smoke weed nearly as frequently as cigarettes...

Cold air amplifies the irritation in your lungs of inhaling tar, which probably has a little bit to do with your cough. Also, after you quit after smoking regularly for awhile, its normal to cough frequently as your lungs try to expell the tar built up in them... it goes away in a couple weeks.

I'm also in the process of quitting, good luck to you.

I quit last April (after 7 years) after coming down some nasty bronchitis. Smoke free since...once you decide it and mean it, it's a lot easier.

Got support from my wife too.

Agreed. In moderation, of course. :)

Smoking would most certainly be contributing to chronic bronchitis.

As well as Cancer and lots of money to low life pushers.

Do you really want to pay low lifes for a miserable existance and an agonizing death?

Drugs are stupid. Be yourself.

When you quit the junk take deep breaths. Deep Breaths are relaxing on their own. You don't need the chemicals.

Learn to relax for real, not artificially.

I quit Mothers day 1984 . I can still to this day taste a cig after I've had a great meal.Smoking is with out a doubt the worst thing you can do to your body.Smoking any thing . Pot isnt filtered right? A lung transplant isnt an option for most . Look at the people smoking has killed early . Smoking is uncool and it sucks.

You think just quiting tobacco is going to help? News flash, pot and tobacco are very simaller... They're both very very bad for you... Hopefully your doctor will enlighten you on the subject :)

But do you think smoking a bowl once or twice a week is as bad as a pack a day? I've never smoked a pack a day, but I still smoked many more cigarettes than pot.

But pot is unfiltered... so god knows how much worse it is for you.
