I'm moving to CA

I've got a summer internship at <major electronic test equipment company> in Santa Rosa, CA. I know there's some ATOTers in the Bay Area, so does anyone have any pro tips I need to know? Should I bring 5000 gallons of water with me?

If you mountain bike, you should know Annadel state park.

If you like beer, you should know Russian River brewery.

Those are the important things.

Santa Rosa really isn't part of the Bay Area...but it's an easy drive. Lots of outdoorsy stuff to do...as well as breweries, wineries, and great restaurants.

I understand that there will be a job opening soon in San Francisco that pays $100,000 grand a year working 1/2 day a week and requires no experience. Interested?

I hear San Francisco sucks though. That's probably why it pays so good.

I don't know, do they have fruit loops in the cafeteria?

I still need to try that place. I work a little bit south of there but I live out past Vallejo.

Whoa! I had no idea you moved near me.

I head up to Annadel a few times a year. It's a pleasant park for XC riding. Nothing very steep up or down. Lots of rocks to keep things interesting, but nothing all that tough. A nice loop will cover most of the park. I'll generally start on Channel drive, head uphill, go down Lawndale, leave the park briefly, head up Schultz, hit some of the other trails on the way back to the car.

I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali
I'm going back to Cali.. hmm, I don't think so
I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali
I'm going back to Cali.. I don't think so

Going back to Cali, stylin, profilin
Growlin, and smilin, while in the sun
The top is down, on the black Corvette
And it's fly, cause it's sittin on Dayton's
Laurents steering wheel, plushed out, gold-leaf phantom top
and three girls waiting
VRRRROOM engine's blowin, the chrome, is shining
Passing all the cars on the way
Movement of the wind, back wheels spin
Pop in a cassette and push play

I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali
I'm going back to Cali - yea y'all, I don't think so
I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali
I'm going back to Cali..

I'm going back to Cali, shakin 'em, bakin 'em
Takin 'em to spots they never before hung
?? the place, on Sunset it's a trip
Where the A.C.'s cold, and the girls still strip
The record skip, but this girl kept dancin
Prancin, grindin, grinnin, romancin
I asked her to the barn, so we could hit the hay
I wanna do this, Brutus, but I don't wanna pay

I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali
I'm going back to Cali - no man I don't think so
I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali
I'm going back to Cali..
..

I'm going back to Cali, rising, surprising
Advising realizing, she's sizing me up
Her bikini - small; heels - tall
She said, she liked, the ocean
She showed me a beach, gave me a peach
and pulled out the suntan lotion
Now I thought that was fast, but this girl was faster
She's lookin for a real good time
I said, "Close your eyes, I got a surprise,"
and I ran away with the bottle of wine

I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali
I'm going back to Cali.. I don't think so
I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali

Yup, been up here just over a year, we looked at places in cotati and petaluma but east bay is just so much cheaper....it's also extremely ghetto if you're not in vacaville (and even some parts there are shady) but it ain't too bad. The 37 will eat my soul eventually so we're trying to get to the Petaluma/Novato/San Rafael area, especially by the time my daughter gets into school.
