I moved out of my parent's house about 4 years ago.
I first lived alone in an apartment complex with an apartment next to me and below me
I then moved in with a friend of mine into a house. The owner lived below us and we also had a renter above us (3 story house)
My friend then bought a house and I moved in with him (2 bedroom). He had a renter above us up until about a week ago.
So, as you can see, going back about 4 years and up until about a week ago, I've always had to worry about being loud.
Now, the renter above us is gone (new one moving in Jan 1) and so is my friend. I'm home alone (if you will) for the first time in 4 years. I'm cranking my music so loud. I'm loving it!
I miss doing that so much. I'm enjoying it while it lasts. I'm getting married next year and we'll have a house after a few years (after we save about $125,000 for a 20% deposit on a starter home - rediculous!) - and then I'll enjoy this time once more.
Can anyone relate?
Edit: I'm also having some drinks...so I have a little buzz going...
Lucky you, my neighbors sometimes call the cops for noise when no one is home. For a while I didn't care, its only a $50 ticket, but getting 5 in one week I just had to start using my sennheisers heh. Sucks when I have people over for movies though, we can't really make use of the surround sound and subs : (
