Heres my requirements

It must be 12.1 inches or under.
It must be under 5 lbs
Battery life has to be good. I am willing to buy a ULV pentium M or even a crusoe.
Must be under 1200 US.
Preferably 512 MB of memory. Obviously more is a plus

Ive been looking for a while but I just dont know any brand names that make these things.

Check out these Winbook notebooks here. They have several models under $1000.
I haven't handled any of these YET (LaptopLogic might get some in the near future), but I hear the build quality is good & tech support is based out of Ohio. The first American laptop manufacturer from what I hear

An iBook (or even a Refurb revision C 12" Powerbook) would certainly fit those requirements. The iBook has better battery life though, while the Powerbook is a tad lighter and has better specs.

Oh come on, that was uncalled for.
iBook meets your stated specs perfectly. Good battery, small size, price < 1200, OK performance.

You want Windows, you should have said so. No need for flamebait.

i bought a toshiba m200 on ebay a couple of days ago...refurbished, but works great

great features and it ran me 1244 shipped...not a bad deal at all if i might say so

rofl, that was funny.

yea, I have a Latitude X200 with the 7200MAh battery. Works great, I get 6 hours battery life, 7 if I dim the screen all the way. Plus, it only weighs 2 and a half to 3 pounds (depending on what battery is in there).
