I'm looking at using Rust Bullet for preventative rust measures, good idea?

I recently purchased a quart of grey automotive rust bullet paint and their black top coat rust bullet paint.

I am planning on using a wire brush to surface clean any areas that need it underneath and then prep with their cleaner, and paint on the frame and any other areas underneath.

Is this a good plan? I plan to cover with woolwax of PB Surface Shield shortly after.

have not heard of that brand, but it certenly wont hurt.

i am a big fan of fluid film. i use it on a cast iron stove from the 30s that sits outside on our porch after we use it and it has been doing a great job.

I am also unfamiliar with that product but it does seem like a plan, keeping in mind if there's any cure time needed for the paint before applying the woolwax or whatever else.

It may be difficult to get to some areas without spraying it on which can be kind of lossy, are you sure a quart is enough?

The paint is more for the frame and larger areas where the factory paint may have chipped or worn off. I'd love to get more coverage but that's why I'm going to spray on the film product.

Just keep in mind....any dirt, moisture that's not removed prior to applying the coating will cause it to fail eventually, most likely with rust underneath. Moisture is the real problem, I've heard, because it's very, very hard to get a used vehicle's undercarriage absolutely clean and dry, like it was when new.
