The final specs. I have not ordered yet and suggestions are still welcome. If any of the parts won't work together or are just plain bad please tell me. Also, if there's anything else I'll need besides Keyboard/Mouse/Ethernet Card/Monitor, once again, please tell me.

Please note that a RADEON 9700 Pro will also be included (it wasn't worth a third pic however). I will be using Windows 98 for this system (I can't afford XP right now and Windows 98 should get the job done don't you think? I can get it really cheap as well.).

I'm really starting to get nervous.

1) Some people said the power supply on the Antec case is too low for the Radeon 9700 Pro but last I heard it should be just fine.
2) The Antec case is made for Pentium 4's. Will this work or are there better Athlon XP solutions?
3) Is the mobo jumperless?
4) When I have installed all my parts, I should start the system and press what key to boot the BIOS on Windows 98?
5) I heard I might have to change from 133 something ram to 100 or vice versa, is this the case?
6) Are any other BIOS changes needed?
7) Is the "boot from CD" for the Windows Install easy to locate (and will I have to deactivate it again after install)?

I've read countless guides and am now familar with the actual building part, but I'm not entirely sure about the software yet.

Any help is appreciated!

1: antec PS are not as good as the Enermax - get an Enermax if you can but if you are getting an antec and don't want to waste money, it alright.
2: When Case state they are P4 it should work with Athlon XP as well, they just say P4 Cuz Intel got annoying and added more power adapter that need to be supplied by the PS. So if you get the Enermax and a P4 make sure the PS can take the P4.
3: Jumperless? don't know for sure, check Asus site
4: press Delete when booting up. Doesn't matter what OS.
5: You might need to change to 133 if it's not already default. It should be in the bios.
6: You might need to change the Virus detection thing because you might have problems with false notification.
7: You don't need to deactivate the boot for CD - just don't put a bootable CD in the drive when you boot (easiest way). It can be found really easily. IT should say 1st boot device = CD , 2nd boot device = HDD0 or floppy , etc.

Hope this helps

For the 9700, ATI recommends a 300w power supply, although it all depends on what else you're trying to power.

My only other advice is to spend a day or two reading all the manuals that came with all your stuff and planning it out before jumping right in. The motherboard will have a decent enough manual that will describe installing the CPU and setting jumpers and getting into BIOS, etc.

Antec, btw, makes great cases and pretty good power supplies. The quick release drive bays are very nice. My only complaint (which may not be true with your specific case) is no removable motherboard tray. So it can be a little work. But it looks like you've got a good rig there.

Looks like a pretty good setup to me, and i cant imagine why the power supply wouldnt be able to drive that system, even with aggressive overclocking.

The Antec Plus660 is a very nice case as is the True330 PS it comes with. It will work just fine. You will like how silent that PC is.
