Bees don't bother me.
Wasp on the other hand I run from.
Possibly because of being stung several times in the past.

Sadly, I am also deathly afraid of bees/wasps/hornets. I've never been stung, but the fear is there. Whenever I a hornets nest next to my house, I pull out the 2700psi power washer and go ballistic on those mofos. Also, every year there's this one BIG bee that hovers around my doorstep.....I'm paranoid and i think it's just waiting to get me :(

When I was like 13 I was stung in the lower lip by a bee. Hurt like heck but even worse swelled up to the size of like a plum! Had to go to the hospital. I wasn't allergic though, just a crappy place to be stung.

Despite that I wouldn't consider myself scared of bees.

When I was 9 or so, I was climbing this small wall for fun. As luck would have it, when I pulled up, my face was staring right into the small wasp nest in one of the nooks, my eyes only about inches away from them.

Needless to say, those fuckers stung me about 10-12 times as I ran crying.

Strangely, I never developed a phobia of any sort. I just dislike them because of their stings like any other people would.

*shrug*, I think it's becaus I was quite the nature boy as a kid and always had fun catching bugs and doing shit in the woods.

no one cares

no one gives a shit that you don't care.

lol its just too fun to put your down, you're like the atot step child.

There are this huge-ass bees that love my storage barn. They always are hovering in front of teh doors or above the roof or something. Very strange, and despite knowing they probably don't want to bother me and won't hurt me much, I'm terrified of them.

I am not at all afraid of bees, but I have my own irrational fears of other stuff. I dunno, sometimes fears like that make no sense at all and are linked to some childhood event, almost all of my irrational fears have childhood events associated with them, and I kinda wonder if the others do to and I jsut can't remember. But that said, as a child me and my brother used to swat bees for hours every summer as kids so I have no fear of them, and you should probably thank me for killing thousands of them :p (and everyone else will probably hate me as their population is like 10% of what it once was because everyone loves killing them so much :().

I'm afraid of bees because of how unpredictable they are in their actions and in where they decide to sting you. I've been stung by a wasp and a honeybee in the ear both times, neither of which 'scarred me for life' but for some reason I'm just scared of having it happen again.

I hate bees. They're so dumb they fly around and when they get in your way, they think you're trying to hurt them and they go crazy. I've never been stung, but I'm afraid of bees. And dogs.

Just swing your purse at them, they will leave you alone after that.

What a crazy way to kill a predator:

Native honey bees

Although a handful of Asian giant hornets can easily defeat the defenses of many individual honey bees, whose small stings cannot inflict much damage against such a large predator, the Japanese honey bee (Apis cerana japonica) has evolved a collective defence.

When a hornet scout locates and approaches a Japanese honey bee hive it will emit specific pheromonal hunting signals. When the honey bees detect these pheromones, a hundred or so will gather near the entrance of the nest and keep it open, apparently to draw the hornet further into the hive or allow it to enter on its own. As the hornet enters the nest, a large mob of about five hundred honey bees surrounds it, completely covering it and preventing it from moving, and begin quickly vibrating their flight muscles. This has the effect of raising the temperature of the honey bee mass to 47 °C (117 °F). The honey bees can just tolerate this temperature, but the hornets cannot survive more than 45 °C (113 °F), and die. Often several bees perish along with the intruder, but the death of the hornet scout prevents it from bringing reinforcements which could wipe out the colony.[8]

There's no shame in being afraid of the Asian Giant Hornet. That thing is the stuff of Chuck Norris' nightmares.

I'm afraid of big moths. Like, Luna Moths I think they're called? I realize they're harmless and probably even kind of cute, but I absolutely HATE them and have to force myself to not run away when I see them.
