Well in my major I'm like 3.3.

Its just that I took classes in political science that screwed me up

That's what you get for relying on ATP&N for your opinions.

And yes, you can put both GA's on your application (if it makes you feel more secure)

OK 🙂 and one more question then ... on the application it says Desired Starting Salary .... do I have to put something? I am interviewing with them and i don't want them to see that and be like "well ... no way..."

This was always the worst question when you haven't established yourself and don't know what position you might end up with (obviously the starting salary between a sys. admin is not going to be the same compared to if they hire you as an electrical engineer [not sure you breadth of fields, but I covered about 6 unique skill sets]).

Just put something reasonable and negotiate from there if they offer you a position where you think you should earn more. If they offer less than that or no job at all, you still have those 30+ jobs up north and you weren't sure you even wanted this one.

As for moving to north jersey, wouldn't you just rather leave that whole state? 😛

I believe there's a back story to that, but it's up to the OP to share.

Good luck with the interview man... after you're done, post an update.

The story is that I live in South Jersey, have a few friends down here, all of which are moving soon when they graduate in May. Its lonely down here, it doesn't feel like there's a bunch of people, and I want to be back in North Jersey where my parents/sister and most of my friends are, even now 🙂

Its true. I already have two interviews next week in NYC. Now THOSE I AM EXCITED ABOUT.

BTW, the company I am interviewing with today is Computer Science Corporation.

"May we contact your present employer"

I don't want them to. I probably won't leave my present employer for this job... and I don't want him getting pissed.

Opinons?

<--------stumped

If you put no, they may assume you have something to hide. If you put yes, they may contact him and he may fire your ass. There are 2 mays in the yes option, so I'd put yes.

Your current employer must know that you aren't going to be there forever, as you're a student. He may even be happy for you (no idea of current position etc) so I'd say put yes.

My boss now pays me more as a student than these people will probably pay me to start full time. I run his entire ISP, and he treats me well. Frankly, I don't want to screw him over, which is why I probably won't take this job. Frankly, I don't want him to know I'm considering leaving yet. Bottom line.

I just scribbled out on my application too and I don't have any white out 🙂 But I'm gonna leave it there on purpose. If they judge me because I made a little scribble on the application, then I don't wanna work for them.

You should be upfront with your boss. Tell him you are going to look around because:
a) You are graduating and want to test the waters
b) You are going to move and need to work on your interview skills

My ex-boss was one of my largest champions for my current position (she wanted me to stay on when they turned my part-time job into a permanent position, but the only room to improve would have been to take her job, whereas my current job pays more and has lots of opportunity to go up).

I hope they didn't ask you about your ability to make decisions, if you need to ask us whether you should go to class or not.................😉
