Your english is better than half the country. You will need, of course, a new motherboard and a video card.

But post your specifications of what you have now: CPU, Memory, Case, Power supply, if you can. Many people can help you here.

Welcome to the forums (can't say the US as I'm not from there ;)), but as the others said we'll need more information first before we can help you. We'll also need to know how much you have to get what you want.

edit: ah ok you beat me too it!

Are you sure your case doesn't have an AGP video card slot? It'd be pretty strange if it didn't while it was any sort of tower case.

The guy at the store told you $620? That's far too much. The proc, RAM, and HDD are all fine.

You do need a new mobo to support PCIe though. The low end proprietary systems do come in small cases, so you may need a new one and a new PSU. Plus the video card of course.

You should try out the XP CD that came with your HP before you buy another copy. Being an OEM copy, it may not work with a different mobo, but it's worth a try anyway.

that setup is not going to work well for your gaming needs, it WILL have serious issues with getting rid of heat......as well as fitting a better mb and video card inside........i say return it and get a better unit, or resell it and buy a better unit.....

The low end Dells (2400s for example), have no AGP or PCIe whatsoever. I'm sure the same case applies for the low end HP/Compaqs. It's how the OEMs keep the prices on those systems so low.

You say your PC is not that old and it doesn't at least have AGP? 915 isn't that old. It has integrated graphics I assume? If your case is a Micro-ATX, they sell PCI-e motherboards in that size so don't know if he's right about the need to buy a case, unless the case is some sort of weird propietary type that makes it extremely hard to swap motherboard. If you have Win XP, you don't necessarily have to buy another copy.

If you can't return it, you can use that $600 to upgrade it into a gaming capable PC...

i can return it but for now pc price very high and without normal video card
i thinkig just get pci video card for now and later do something but i dont know its waste os money

If your budget is only 600 dollars, get something like a 6600GT. There only around 140-170 in price and offer good performance. You could probably even find a 6800 in the price range of the X600 you linked. That would pretty much blow away the X600 in terms of performance

hmm what you can save is your cpu, RAM and hardrive

That means you'll need a new motherboard, new case, new power supply and obviously a new graphics card.

That's doable.

Alternatively, you can sell/return that and get some money and buy a new machine that could be better but I think that will come out to more. Using the same money with your current machine and upgrading it you can take the money further and get a better gaming setup for the money.

The only thing about the first option is that you'll have to get your hands dirty (in the metaphorical sense at least) but you can get some great help and support here.
