I'm in love with my rice cooker.

Got me a new rice cooker yesterday - already made

Rice Budding
Indian Chicken Curry
Chinese stir fry

One question, I'm making my 1st ever in my life batch of brown rice. I know the unwritten rule is 'don't peek' - but it was taking so long, I looked and tasted. The rice is spongy with a slight 'chewiness' to it which is quite pleasant. If the rice cooker stopped now I'd be satisfied. What should brown rice be like? I have no back ground.

Did you get a Mitsubishi NJ-WS10?

I'd be in love too. 🙂

I got a new rice maker this year. I've made in it so far:
- ~20 pounds of rice
- tapioca pudding (a few types)
- bread pudding
- split pea soup
- hard boiled eggs
- steamed veggies
- oatmeal

So what kind of rice cooker did you get? I've been thinking about getting one but have no idea what's the best bang for the buck.

There's nothing more breathtaking than a freshly steamriced scrotum... I suggest you try it.

I bought mine at Costco last year for only $28 CDN.

I love it, too.

I use the steamer tray a lot. I much prefer steamed potatoes to boiled.

I got the 16 cup aroma at wally world. I started with a cheapo walgreens 9.99 one - it worked - but was not non-stick - so a pain to clean. This one is awesome. The brown rice turned out great (I'm converted to brown rice now - much more flavorful and chewy). . .
