If you are still in the Kyoto/Osaka area try going to Mino City and driving up the mountain. Japan, for all its wealth and technology, does not have guardrails. They have gutters but no guardrails. So, if you make a mistake you will most likely pay with your life. Oh, there are monkeys in the mountain too. Lots and lots of monkeys.
 
I'm flying that way tomorrow (and definitely not looking forward to the flight!). How long do you plan to be in the Tokyo area? What are you interested in seeing?
 
Drink heavily and wake up in a love hotel with a stranger dressed in half a Sailor Moon costume on top of a bed shaped like a banana.

Last time I checked, the room was like 40 bucks for 6 hours.
 
get flustered with one of the sodas with the marble stopper. I've heard they're actually pretty good.

you can get them off amazon but I ain't paying 30 bucks for a 6pack.

my minions love those things. they taste pretty good imo. I get them from a food truck and they are a little bit cheaper, but $2.50 for the size bottle you get is still pretty steep, which is too bad.

also, i am super jealous of OP.
