im in california, my permit expires august 10th...im in a dilemna

My permit expires august 10th.

My third behind the wheel is august 4th

My liscense test is august 5th

1) let's say i dont pass my liscense test on the first try, i have to wait one week to retake it right?

2) If i do have to wait one week, to renew my permit, can i just take the permit test, and take my liscense test right after? or do i have to go through that 6 month period again.

Anyway, your third what is on the 4th? Day behind the wheel?

There?s only one ?S? in license (sorry, spelling pet peeve), and no, as long as you don?t let your permit lapse, there?s no reason that you would need to wait another six months. Have it renewed immediately if you fail that license test, and reschedule the test for a week. Of course if I?m wrong, I?m sure they will let you know. 😉
 
As long as you have experience behind the wheel, the written/driving test will come natural and everything should be common sense.
