Thanks to all for your help. I took digital pictures and plan to make a small page about where it is and how to change it for those klutzes like me.

Good! This guy might want to see it. The problem seems to strike lots of older fuel injected Hondas, not just Civics.

EDIT: Oh man, did I overpay or what? Damn Richfield-Bloomington Honda! Oh well, they all suck around here.

What does it mean if your car starts better in cold-weather than in hot-weather? If it's been sitting undriven the whole night, it'll start fine in the morning. If I drive it to school and it sits in the lot for a few hours and later I start it to leave, it has trouble getting started. Do I need to be more specific?

Give us a few more specifics. Kind of car? Year? Mileage? If its a honda and its anything like what I described....I'd venture to say it's the same thing that I replaced-the main relay.

From what I've read, in the older honda's when the car heats up inside the solder (sp?) on the circuit board loosens up (melts?) and the connection can become iffy, which explains why it happens sometimes but not others. when it cold it obviously doesnt face this problem. I've read this has been improved on the newer main relay's, and the new one I got is substantially bigger than the old one so something is different inside.

Hehe, sorry I'm such a tard I forgot the important details . It's a 1987 VW Jetta GL, with about 100K miles on it. Does that change the answer? Thanks, again!

I know this is off topic. Lucky, is there a reason you don't have "under God" written in the pledge in your sig?
