sometimes I wish my sisters all had their own computers so they would leave mine alone. I go take a shower, come back and there's 50 new spyware programs running in the background and my favorites list suddenly doubles in size.

Then I realize that I'd have to network all their computers and do 24/7 tech support and fix them when they screwed them up, not to mention protect the damn network from the virus's they seem to download for fun, and I realize maybe its not just a good idea.

We had to install Linux and the Apache Webserver with PHP
The whole Class: Damn, Netscape 4.7 sux big donkey balls. It just fvcks up whole webpages sometimes and Internet Explorer can display it correctly. And damn, you also have to write specific Javascripts for each browser. (that was the time before Mozilla and let me remind you, Netscape 4.7 DID suck balls)
Smartass: Yeah, it really sucks... it can't even display PHP pages.

OK, php is a server scripting language, it has nothing to do if a browser can display it or not. It's only a matter if the server has PHP installed. You use php for dynamic pages and stuff. And we were bashing Netscape for it's stupid Javascript support and he thought it would be cool if he can bash Netscape too 🙂

Actually, there are certain things that netscape can't display and i.e. did display it correctly. I forgot which instance, but it happened to me a couple of times.

PHP generates HTML code(normally), no? So it would be a HTML problem and no PHP problem. A browser doesn't need a special "add-on" for PHP, right?

We had a guys windows 98 machine in for virus removal. I happened to be the one who checked him out when he paid for it. Our conversation went like this:

Him: "So the machine no longer has a virus?"

Me: "Yes sir."

Him: "Good, now I can format it without worrying."

I just handed him his machine and thanked him.

Concerning the original post, IIRC, one of the major software companies quite a few years ago released software that did indeed contain a virus. I wish I could remember more about it, but it had to be at least 10 years ago.
