After WEEKS AND WEEKS of waiting, i just found out that i got denied to go to Melbourne, Australia (RMIT) in the fall. 8 people applied and only 5 got to go... So i guess i got the sh!t end of the stick. I even had housing set up and everything. I guess im open to taking suggestions on other places to go to study abroad, any ideas? 🙁

EDIT: Here's a list of the schools i can go to...

<< Barcelona and London were pretty cool... >>

Unfortunately the closest place i can go to England is Wales....

Spain is an option i guess... i dunno...

Barcelona is very cosmopolitan for Spain...the rest of it isn't nearly as exciting

(Except for Ibiza of course 😛)

if i was gonna pick from that list i would either go to Wales or a Scandinavian country (Finland etc).

You could try Denmark or Sweden, I'v been to Denmark sooo many times and I like it 🙂, only once been to Sweden but so far so good

My roomate's gf did a year abroad here, and loved it.

I'd probably go to one of the Carribean schools or one in The Netherlands, personally. 😉

Thanks for all the help guys, i really appreciate all of this... I love how they give me only a week now to make my decision and get tons of paperwork filled out... Anywhoo...

The places ive been looking at the past few minutes: (but im still open to ANYWHERE)
Aston U. (Birmingham, England) <--- Anyone ever been near this area?
Bocconi U (Milan) <--- I dunno how well i would do though, i dont speak a word of italian..
JUAN CARLOS III DE MADRID (Madrid) <---- Again, i dont know how the city is but i do speak a little spanish
and any school in the Netherlands

Whew... Any help is GREATLY appreciated... Like where to avoid, where youve been or heard about... Thanks again

P.S. - Im undergrad Business if your curious...

Birmingham is a dump don't go there, it's a pity you can't get into UMIST as Manchester is a cool city.

Of course I'm a little biased 😉

sorry about that,

but on topic, I hear that England is a great place to study,

I've got 3 or 4 friends there now and they seem to enjoy it

Is Birmingham seriously a dump?? Damn.... I really wanted to go to UMIST but weve sent SO many students over the past few years, were 'banned' from sending any for almost 2-3 years... What about Leicester, England?

i studied in England, for a couple weeks only though. it was a UK trip. i liked northern England, didn't care much for anywhere else though...especially didn't like Liverpool or London.

I personally don't like Birmingham, it is just to dull and depressing.
I know someone who went to Aston University though and he really enjoyed it.

I have never been to Leicester, so I can't really comment on what it is like there.

Hmmm ok... Thanks...

May want to give Sweden some thoughts.. if not for the school, then for the Swedish babes! 🙂 Uppsala is only a couple of hours of drive from downtown Stockholm. And I've "heard" you can get some good quality weed in Västerås which is only about an hour drive from Uppsala.

English is being taught from 4th grade and on, so about 80% of the people there will understand English.

otherwise, this is all you need to know, "Du och mej. Min plats."
