Specific to you or for humans in general?

My blood pressure is kind of high, and just for general reasons as well. As for tips, I meant like sites and books and stuff.

No one has given me a meal yet :)

I can't get too skinny, I have a fairly large frame. I'm 6'2 230 now.

Wow, what can I say?

That's rough?

You're crazy?

I don't know, but good luck.

I think most vegans are probably skinny simply because they don't end up getting enough calories from their restrictive diets.

Personally, I think it would be much, much easier, and probably healthier, to just go with a vegetarian diet.

I don't eat eggs ever, and I rarely eat dairy. It's not too much more of a stretch.

good luck with that. i could never do it, but to each his/her own. :)

I don't eat red meat very much at all (leaves me feeling icky) and I don't eat pork. I mostly eat chicken when I eat meat.

The thing is that I eat the "bad" stuff enough for it to be having ill effects. If I go vegan, then I'm obligated to avoid it completely :)

kiss any decent muscle tone goodbye

Well, I don't know a lot about weight training, but shouldn't vegetable protein have the same muscle building ability as animal protein?

Why? From lack of protein?

Soy, my friend. :) It's every bit the protein hamburger is, and it's easier for your body to deal with.

I think at your height/weight you should go vegetarian. I think vegan diets are better for folks with less caloric requirements etc. All I remember is a lot of couscous and tofu :p, plus the vegan lifestyle excludes leather clothing/accessories.

Eh, we'll have to see how it goes. If I make myself sick, I can go back. I'm not doing it for the sake of animals. I mean, that's bad and all, but I'd rather devote my time to saving people. A cow just really isn't all that important to me.

Not that I buy leather anyway.

Yeah, I used to be vegan.

I take mega doses of vitamins, so I'm more worried about caloric intake (and micronutrients to an extent)

That's right! You get more tender, juicy filet mingon. More rich, marinated chicken. More spicy, sizzling sausage. Enjoy! It's the least I can do for you guys.
