HAHA, did that just pop in to your head.

'hmm... I'm bored.... I think I'll go stalk a homeless guy now'

Shoot him with a traquilizer dart, then put a radio collar on his neck.
That will make tracking him easier.

No no, he'd notice the collar. You need to implant the tracking device underneath the skin.

a newspaper did that with the "old shaking lady" in toronto. turns out shes wealthy, not disabled, doesnt really shake and none of her family knew she did it.

Yeah i remember that... she was a gypsy, so i don't exactly trust what her family claimed. Not to be prejudice, but they're well known for scamming. How can you not know she was not begging? She would leave the house everyday in rags and come back with bag full of cash.

If panhandling is so profitable, why don't all homeless people do it?

Because some are schizophrenic... infact, a large majority of them are. I lived in a Salvation Army halfway house for over a year, and there were some that were clearly schizophrenic.

Anyone read "Hearts in Atlantis"?

I seen the movie... what about it?

The Movie only covers HALF the book.

There is a guy in the second half of the book that "works" at pan handling. And goes to GREAT lengths to not be found out.
This thread just reminded me of that guy in the story.

Ah interesting! I always thought the movie ended too abruptly.

there was one in buffalo who wandered around and collected money, when in truth he had a net worth of over $5 million, and did it just as a "job"

I'm betting PliableMoose goes with the suppository tracking device, and not for any practical reasons, either... Oh, wait, are you talking about putting a tracker in the homeless guy? 😉
