I'm Going to L.A. For a Week-What should I do?

Finally going on Vacation out of state after a cple yrs of not going anywhere, (usually my vacation consists of sitting home)

What should I do/Where should I go once I am there.

Btw: Been to Disney Land/Universal/Mgm in Florida Several Times. So Looking for something else.
However I might go to Universal Anyways.

Go to Hollywood, check out the stars, etc etc,
Go to Santa Monica, check out the GORGEOUS beach, boardwalk..etc
Los Angeles clubs are the best too..if you're into that stuff
but overall, southern california is a great place for tourism..if you're sick of disneyworld, go to six flags magic mountain

Bring an oxygen tank if you can; try not to breathe the air there.

Seriously though... Check out the John Paul Getty museum. It's pretty cool. The artwork isn't all that fabulous, but the building and grounds are a work of art, and provide some of the best views of L.A.

We took a guided tour of the city on through a company called "VIP Tours". That showed us a little bit of everything in L.A. (Venice Beach, Beverly Hills, Downtown, Hollywood, etc.) and we went back to the things that we liked.

Be sure to rent a car, because public transportation does not exist.

Put on a flak-jacket and take an exciting tour of South-Central.:frown:My advice is to stay close to the coast, its generally safer there.

If you want some great Mexican food and (if you're old enough) the best mararita I have found in North America, go to a little restaurant on the east end of Hollywood called El Chavo (not to be confused with El Cholo, nearby). 🙂

If you can't quit your 'puter jones, there's a decent swap meet at C.S.U.N. (Cal State Univ. Northridge) in the San Fernando Valley, next
Saturday and Sunday.

Need more info on how to get there? My e-mail is in my profile. 😉

I recommend going to Venice Beach. I down there to argue with anti-abortion freaks all the time. Not to mention there are tons of hot girls there as well.

I really recommend checking out Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. I go down there and hang at some of the outside restaurants and just check out all the freaky people there. Do it.

Forget all the touristy crap.

go to E3..
oh wait...u're already doing that! 🙂

go to Venice Beach - it's a pretty cool place to go...

and at night, go to the bars on Sunset Blvd (not the ones in West Hollywood).

come visit me, on friday its my roommates b-day and we're throwing a b-day party/kickback we're gonna get POUNDED!!!! I live in Pasadena, its near Old Town Pasadena, (good, and cool place) 🙂

danny!

Getty Museum is definately a place to go if you are into this.. you'll want to check out Hollywood. Six Flags Magic Mountain if you want some rollercoaster rides 😀

It all depends on what you want to see LA, because there's just so many possiblities.

I'm in L.A. too but only until tomorrow. We (some family and I) got here this morning and we are leaving tomorrow. I live in California though. I hope you enjoy your stay out here. 😀 Have lotsa lotsa fun. 😀😀😀😀

whatever you do, do NOT go to club el ray. i sent a friend there unknowingly who was looking for clubs to visit and he called back laughing to the point of a heart attack.

gee, i live here (well, for 2 yrs only) and I didn't know where to go,
only place I go is McDonalds and the computer swapmeet in Ponoma (check lacomputerfair.com)
🙁

actually, it depends what you want to do, to eat, check out Glendale's Brand Avenue. it got all kind of food there.

the el rey isn't a big club or anything but you can't laugh at them because they hosted SASHA AND DIGWEED one night a few months back. beat that!
