He couldn't run up and down the court with them. They wouldn't foul him, they'd block EVERY shot he tried to put up.

This is hardly "news" that Shaq isn't good from the freethrow line, MANY of teh great big-men weren't.

Yes - I'm sure you're just as good at basketball as Nate Robinson.

PS - Shaq is one of the greatest players of all time, even if he can't shoot free throws.

PPS - If you shoot 75% in your driveway, I don't think that translates into 75% in the NBA Finals.

Yao is 7'6" and shoots better than 80%.
Brad Miller is 7' and shoots right at 80%.

Gasol shoots *okay* from the line for a 7 footer.

There are *some* big guys with a soft touch. I think it helps to be white :laugh:

I'll give you Greg Ostertag...his FT% is horrible. But he's cancelled out by Ben Wallace...so it's a wash there.

Good call. Big Z is 7-3 and shoots a smidge under 80% for his career.
 
Free throws aren't that easy...the best FT shooter on our HS team always shot between 75-80% Shooting anything around 90% is very impressive.
 
shaq was so quick and agile in his prime...even fouling couldn't prevent home dominating every team in the nba. He's old now, give him a break...

i shoot free throws all the time and usually do 46/50 quite often
