Look for a PCI Radeon that will do dual monitors (9000/7xxx card), that way there will be no driver conflicts.

Not sure if you could use a Matrox card with it, have to check with someone else, but a PCI Radeon should go with your 9800.

wow that is one cool adapter, I wonder why ATI doesn't include this as a "feature"?

I read in one of ATI's FAQ's that they do not design their cards to exist in multiple numbers (ie 1 AIW in the AGP slot and 1 dual head in the PCI) and I wonder if anyone has had any success with this.

Maybe not the AIW's but I have a 9700 Pro along with Voodoo Banshee for a total of 3 monitors that work just fine.

Is this a hard cable to find in a computer store? I just bought a Dell 18" Ultrasharp lcd and I was hoping to dual-monitor it with my ATI Radeon 9700 Pro AIW until I read this post and realized that it doesn't support it =/. I can hop over to a local computer/cable store and see if they sell it but don't want to waste my time unless I know it's a sorta popular cable.

I have a Radeon 9800 AIW right now with a Matrox G450. Obviously the G450 is pretty slow and sad, but the 2 monitors is essential for work I do while the 9800 is doing digital media conversions.

Works fine for me so far. I don't put the Matrox extended drivers on it though. That seemed to just make everything unhappy.
