People will look, just maybe not until tomorrow when they get to their desks. Bump it in the morning when you wake up.

Also, list the specs so we can see, the newegg link doesn't work.

OP, that is a socket 939 mobo, and you've listed a socket 754 chip. Change your cpu to a socket 939 3200+ Text

Also, this might be easier if you give us a budget and what you already have (monitor, keyboard, mouse, optical drive, etc.) and let us just configure it from the ground up with your input.

That's a socket 939 MoBo with a socket 754 CPU. You may want to look into an Athlon64 3200+ (socket 939)as a CPU. Also, if you buy the retail CPU, it comes with a heatsink.

Look for 2GB of DDR400 (not DDR2) RAM.

For a video card, the 6600GT and 7800GT are good value-for-money, depending on how much you want to spend.

Also, what's the main purpose of this computer? Gaming?

i'm looking for just a basic computer. but i also want to be able to play a few fps games on it. nothing too crazy. i'm thinking of trying out bf2. but during school, it'll just be used for email, papers, projects. nothing too crazy. my current computer has just been giving me headaches.

OK. What sorta budget do you have to work with? Just a ball park figure would help.

Also, do you need stuff like Monitor/KB/MSE/Speakers?

Good selections so far, I won't suggest anything yet, because I am a bad fanboy, but you will need a Video Card, Power Supply, Hard Drive, Optical Drive/Burner, and whatever else you don't already have

i dont' really have a budget. But i dont' want to spend too much. I have a basic keyboard and a laser mouse. i havea dvd burner in this current tower that i'll probably part. i just bought some corsair ddr2 ram. i also got a new 160gb maxtor hd. so i don't know. should i buy new ram also?

If you want something rather basic, it might be cheaper to buy a prebuilt. However, it'll be a much better experience to build your first PC. I know after I built my first PC, I swore off ever buying a prebuilt, but times have changed, and now I'm on a Dell. 😀
