Im going to be setting up a small server with a Duron 900mhz. What heatsink should i get?

The duron 900 is the cheapest at newegg. what heatsink should i be getting?

the quieter, the better.

i wont be overclocking, and it should be at newegg

Taisol at newegg I've used the one for $16. My friend broke the socket clip and then I bought the mb off of him and used this heatsink because of it's 3 clip design. Goes on VERY easy and with the stock fan it should do alright. I have a high output 80mm sunon on it and I run at 95F idle and 100F under load

Cheap, four dollar Cool Master fan. I did the same thing with a Duron 1.0 Ghz chip. It cools it fine, the comp is stable as hell, just don't up the voltage or overclock and it'll be VERY quiet.

Edit: It used to be 4 bucks, now it's 5, the Coolmaster DP5-6H51.

The Taisol's are hard to beat for the money. Awesome clip and a quiet fan. The all aluminum one can be had @ Newegg for $16 like someone mentioned, or you can spend $3 more and get the copper bottomed one @ KD Computers for $19.

if you're not o/c'ing, and its not going to be stuffed in a foot locker or something, then just get whatever is cheapest. the only exception i could think of is the 3 prong clip, if that is important to you. i wouldnt sweat it, personally.

btw, those durons are DIRT cheap! you cant really go ANY farther down than 30-35 bucks...i mean, look a pricewatch...pIII 500's are like 60 bucks (not correct, just an example), a new pII would cost more than a new duron with 3-4 times the clock speed and 4-5 times the performance!

Big copper insert. 5400rpm fan is nice and quiet. I pay a whopping $12 locally.

I use my $5 Volcano 5 on my Duron950, it works fine.

I agree with you the volcano works great on my system. I am running it on a Asus motherboard and a Celeron 700 Mhz
