Congratulation, Sixguns! Recently found out myself I'm going to be a father, due up in December so looks like we're in this ride together 😛

I couldnt sleep the night before we found out. Lucky for us it was the first thing they pointed out to us.

Grats too you both!

Grats on the boy, OP. We recently finalized our little girl's adoption, she's 14mos old now. It's been an amazing experience.

Congrats!! We had our first (a boy) last year on Sept 14th! It is such a rewarding experience (once you get past the first two weeks lol)

Just remember, the frustration and feeling of not knowing what to do is short-lived and its mostly great once you get over the initial hump! You have alot of resources at your fingertips, but in the end go with your gut or your pediatrician)

Try to get into a routine with your boy early on. You will be glad you did.

Most importantly.. enjoy yourself! The best part of my day is when I get to sit with my (now 8 month old) son and make him laugh. Makes all my worries go away, if only for a short time lol.

Looks like today is the day!

Congrats! You're in for it now! Those first few days are crazy.

My daughter was born 4 months ago today. It both seems like forever and like it was just yesterday. One one hand it's gone by so fast, but on the other hand so much has happened in those 4 months it seems like she's been with us forever.

lies.

OP will never sleep again and will have lots of late night/odd hours posts.

babies don't sleep. EVER.

jk op, good luck!! 😀

Sure, they sleep... for an hour or two between hysterical crying fits. It starts getting better a few months down the road... only to go back to shit when they start teething.

Welcome to fatherhood, OP 🙂

Maybe this isn't my place to post, because he is my kid, but I figure I will fill in all the people on here. Mr. 6 Guns' boy was born this morning, and had some issues with his oxygen levels, but if he's anything like his dad he will kick that problems ass. I'm looking forward to seeing my little nephew this afternoon.

GZ Six, hope the delivery went swimmingly.

Our first child (girl) is due in 6 weeks. I get sweaty and weak every time I think about it lately..

oops. I forgot to mention that every chance they need to sleep and enjoy the peace and quiet.

I hope everything turned out well for them. My twins came out uber healthy and in great shape but I almost lost my wife in the delivery process. Fortunately everything and everyone are doing wonderfully now and we are celebrating 39 weeks!

I don't think I've ever paid attention to anything (including me and my wife), day in and day out, for this long. But my two girls are so worth it.

Born September 6, 2013. 8lbs 12.7oz and 20.5 in long. Like gunner said, he had some breathing issues and was admitted to the NICU. This morning the doctor said he would need to stay for seven days to finish his antibiotics. Mom is healthy and doing great and my little guy is fighting this thing hard. Blood work showed high white blood cells but everything else is perfect. I'll get a pic up once he is home with us and doesn't have hoses/wires attached.

Sorry to steal your thunder bro. Just figured the people in here would want to know and I knew you had your hands full with more important things. Looking forward to hanging out with the little dude again as soon as you guys get home.
